Setting up a Forward

These steps must be completed directly from your office phone:

1. Pick up the hand set, press # and 1.
   You will hear a dial tone.
2. Depending on where you are forwarding to, follow these steps:
   • For San Marcos numbers, dial 9 512 ### ####, and press # and hang up.
   • For all other numbers, dial 9 1 ### ### #### and press # and hang up.
3. From another line, call your office line to make sure the forward is working.

Turning a Forward Off

On an analog phone, pick up the handset, press # and 1, and hang up.

Alternate Ways to Manage Phone Calls While Away from Campus

• Monitor voicemail messages received via email and return people's calls.
• Record a voicemail greeting and provide either an alternate phone number OR email address where you can be reached.
